  Regardless of what canon your character is from, Gwen is likely to know who they are and think that they are fictional. (The last time she was in the "real world" was January 2016, so if your character's canon point is newer than that, then you're probably safe.) Sorry. That's just who she is. Being taken out of the comic book pages and into dwrp won't change that. If you want Gwen to avoid mentioning your character's history to them, or admitting to the fictional nature of your character, likewise please comment here to opt-out.

Yo! I'm going to be weird about this and say I'm happy for Gwen to use her knowledge and perhaps subtle references to what she knows about him when interacting with Peter, but if she's interacting with him as Spider-Man you're free to go all out. With the exception of letting him know she's aware they're one and the same, feel free to reference any event that no one could possibly know without fourth wall knowledge when he's in the mask.

Let me know if that doesn't make any dang sense.

I'm gonna be a copycat and say the same as the above Peter! I don't mind her being vague about Peter's side of things, but Spider-Man is totally A-OK to be fourth-walled all to hell! His fights, his thwippin' around the city and weird adventures in NYC, etc, etc.

I definitely don't mind if she knows all kinds of stuff about Peter himself, but I like to keep him more grounded and less fourth-wally, if that makes any sense at all. So I try not to have him run into it as much as himself.

Yo so despite me being unclear on timelines in general, I'm assuming Stephen's canon point is after that one time he met Gwen and acclimated her to the 616 verse/brought her friend back as a ghost (I've read like...the first couple issues of Gwenpool so I am only broadly familiar). So he probably should have been 4th walling his MCU self but oh well, I didn't do that.

Anyhoodle, that's all to say she's welcome to know things and say things about him and that he'll remember having met her through the whole magic egg thing.

I don't think Gwen's particularly into manga/anime. If anything she might recognize him as being from an anime/manga but not what one specifically.

Gwen has learned her lesson re: telling people they're fictional, so don't worry about that. And I appreciate the note re: Bat-knowledge. I've only watched a few episodes of season 1 of Gotham, so I only have the vaguest knowledge of what is present or not in canon.

I'd like to avoid Gwen straight up saying he's fictional right out of the gate but I am okay with her mentioning anything she knows about him. Or any incarnation of him. Just keep in mind my knowledge of his comic counterpoint is only surface level stuff I picked up during character research, so neither of us would know what the hell she's talking about, probably. But that's fine too.

I am totally fine with Gwen knowing about Pokemon. Franciscus is used to people thinking they're fictional by now, so it won't really surprise him. I'm assuming she's not enough into long Japanese sound novels to know what Umineko is but if you think she would I'm totally fine with her thinking he looks like Battler.

The thing I was specifically thinking of happened either in Gwen's book or in a Howard the Duck book, I forget which. But basically Gwen stole something from Black Cat and then sort of blackmailed her into letting her go using her meta knowledge. But it sounds like Felicia's canon point is before that happens anyway so there'll just be confusion on her end!

hey hey! i'm cool with gwen having general knowledge of or referencing significant events billy's been involved in re: young avengers regardless of whether gwen was around for said events, but i'd like to avoid conversations or allusions to him being a fictional character from a comic book. an actual person who also appears in comics (like his idols, life goals) is totally fine, even if that's... not entirely true (yet!). as far as his personal/private life, or events not directly connected to or associated with his role as a young avenger - i don't mind these things being vaguely referred to in passing, but would prefer to avoid heavier references in general.

also, billy's superhero identity isn't really a secret in canon anymore (if it ever was, let's face it), so i'm cool with her knowing that billy kaplan = wiccan, formerly known as asgardian, etc.

We talked about this recently on Discord but to reiterate it here for your sake. I am fine with Gwen telling Rei that she's a manga heroine in her world. Not "You're not real/fiction" but "I totally snagged a manga girlfriend and am living a 2D fantasy." is fine.

For Annette should they ever come into contact, Fire Emblem 3 Houses is from 2019, so I don't think that Gwen would know her. Fire Emblem as a franchise has existed since the Late 80s/Early 90s, but 3 Houses sort of put a new spin on things and every setting is different.
