Yeah, that wasn't the best Stephen King novel that could've come to life. I'd much rather kill Cujo than go snooping around in sewers.

And Cujo is a big monster dog, from a different Stephen King story.

... somehow, I'm no longer surprised that something that is here might be in a book somewhere. This place almost seems like a work of fiction.

You make up a character then pretend to fight monsters and stuff. There's a lot of math involved.

And what is a nerd?

A nerd is someone who's really deeply obsessed with a thing. It's usually something academic, but you can be a comic book nerd or a theater or music nerd. Being a nerd used to mean you were really unpopular and people bullied you, but now that superhero movies make billions of dollars in the box office, being a nerd is sort of cool all of a sudden.

Oh, so a wizard might be a magical nerd then? Haha, that's not so bad now is it?

[Because if you wanted to be good at magic, you actually had to be obsessed with it and studying it constantly, one way or another. So most good mages would have to be nerds, particularly as it was usually a bit of an academic study.]

SO, then. I guess I am a nerd too. [She giggled.] Not that I mind. I rather like hurling lightning bolts at people who annoy me. It's a nice trick to have up your sleeve.

I suspect so! If they only new the kind of power that a mind could unleash, they would be terrified indeed! Trembling even!

I feel like opportunistic battle-nerds could really go on a rampage and do some real damage... That's dangerous kind of talk.

Fear the powers that the nerds keep secreted away in their minds. They will probably rule the world one day.

Oh, don't worry about that. All the richest people on Earth are already tech nerd billionaires. Bill Gates, Elon Musk, the Zuck... They can buy and sell us all.

The Zuck? Is that some sort of demented stage name for a masked vigilante? [No, no it wasn't.] I suppose I'm not too surprised though. They have the mental power, so they make all the best inventions, which leads to making all the wealth of the modern world. Of course several have power.

Nah, it's just a stupid nickname for Mark Zuckerberg. He invented Facebook, which kind of started the whole social media craze.

Wait, so he is responsible for this "Social Media" thing, like the awful dating profiles that we have here? So he is more of a super villain in that case?

Well... Not Bill Gates. He donates a ton of money to charity, so he's pretty good. But Zuckerberg and Musk are terrible, selfish people.
